Chris Clark is the Managing Partner, Executive Creative Producer, and Music Supervisor at Squeak E. Clean Studios, a global full-service music and sound company where he co-leads the U.S. team and oversees the Chicago studio. Blending his background as a musician with over a decade of agency experience, Chris brings a unique creative and strategic perspective to every project, ensuring world-class music supervision, original composition, and audio post-production for some of the world’s most recognized brands.
A Billboard Branding Power Player (2019), Chris has produced and supervised music for campaigns with Samsung, Facebook, BMW, Beats by Dre, Nintendo, McDonald’s, Sprint, and hundreds of others. His work has earned multiple Gold Lions at Cannes, including for Samsung’s celebrated “Ostrich” campaign, and he helped originate the music supervision strategy for the iconic Coors Light “Chill” campaign.
Before joining Squeak E. Clean, Chris spent over a decade as Director of Music at Leo Burnett, leading global music initiatives for Publicis Groupe and collaborating with artists such as The Beatles, Elton John, Lorde, Sylvan Esso, Wilco, and FUN. He also co-supervised the landmark Samsung campaign featuring “Rocket Man” by Elton John and Rufus Wainwright’s cover of “Across the Universe.”
Beyond advertising, Chris is deeply involved in music advocacy and industry development. He was part of the team that, alongside P&G, built the world’s largest database of women composers - now hosted on FreeTheWork.com, promoting diversity and inclusion in commercial music.
Chris’s achievements also include producing the award-winning “Put the Guns Down” anti-violence project with Common and Chicago’s leading rappers, and winning multiple Association of Music Producers (AMP) Awards, including Best in Show and Best Original Song.
A recognized thought leader, Chris has contributed to The New York Times, The Atlantic, Forbes, Ad Age, and Huffington Post, and served as a juror and speaker at global events including Cannes Lions, Clio Music Awards, MIDEM, SXSW, and Tokyo International Music Market.
