Nestled in a building rich with musical history, Squeak E. Clean LA is a multi-studio recording complex, located in the heart of Hollywood, where the past meets the future of sound.

Originally constructed as a post office, this iconic building was transformed into Crystal Industries Recording in 1967 under Andrew Berliner's vision. Over the years, it became a creative hub for legendary acts like Stevie Wonder, Jimi Hendrix, Carole King, Sleater-Kinney and Barbara Streisand, among others. Later operating as Barefoot Recording, it continued its legacy with artists such as Queens of the Stone Age, No Doubt and Maroon 5, solidifying its place in music history.

Acquired by Squeak E. Clean, this historic studio has been reimagined with modern updates while preserving its storied legacy. The complex boasts a 50 x 30 ft live tracking room featuring a “drumbrella” and direct connection to the original echo chamber, an Atmos screening/presentation room, multiple mix rooms, and writing spaces. State-of-the-art camera systems and an integrated design allow seamless collaboration across every space, empowering projects of all types and sizes.

With state-of-the-art facilities and a rich history, Squeak E. Clean LA is equipped to support projects of all types, including live action film/photo shoots and artist sessions as well as intimate screenings.
