Paul Le Couteur

As Squeak E Clean Studios Melbourne - Head of Sound, Paul Le Couteur leads both creatively and personally as a passionate advocate for the idea. He is known for his integrated skills as an technical audio specialist and a sound designer with a unique interest and love for casting and directing actors.

Paul’s work has been awarded over the years both nationally at MADC, Award and Sirens through to international level including Cannes, D&AD, LIA, NY Festivals and Spikes. He has served on the Siren Creative Council since 2009 and is called upon yearly to sit on panels, present forums and judge award shows.

Paul won international acclaim for the Australian Navy’s ‘The Audio Ad You Can See’ - a groundbreaking world first execution that won at D&AD, Clio, NY Festivals, LIA as well as the MADC. More traditional but equally beautiful work for Toyota Metalmorphasis, Telstra Christmas and Macpac have also garnered accolades in 2024. Historically, the “Letters of Gallipoli” Campaign and the long-standing Myer Christmas Campaign animated by Aardman are stand out executions of the amalgamation of sound design and voice casting and direction.

His vast experience and wide skill set have made him a celebrated and inventive collaborator who loves working with all creative minds to bring their ideas to life.
